Risky Business is a fast-paced, fun event to learn about the exciting opportunities available to students majoring in risk management and insurance in the ECU College of Business. You'll hear from ECU Alumni, Faculty, and Employers!

Participants will first enjoy a complimentary dinner featuring a build-your-own pasta bar, a slider station, and assorted desserts,

You'll then hear brief presentations from several industry professionals about their careers and the job opportunities available to students who major in Business Administration. The presentations will last no more than an hour total!

At the end? PRIZES! EVERY student who attends is guaranteed to receive a $20 or GREATER cash gift, plus a unique gift featuring the ECU logo!

To be eligible to attend you must:

*be an ECU freshman, sophomore or junior. Seniors are not eligible.

*not be a current or previous Risk Management & Insurance major in the College of Business.

*not be a current or previous member of Gamma Iota Sigma

*arrive and be seated no later than 5:45 p.m.

*stay the entire time and give your undivided attention to the speakers.

*Use of phones and computers is strictly prohibited.

Join us October 29-30 in Wilmington at the IIANC Young Agents Development Conference!

You MUST be a paid member of GIS to register. Registration is open until September 20. Your past reliability and behavior with regards to our trips will play a significant role in whether or not you are selected to attend this conference.

There is no cost to attend this conference. We will pay for your meals, non-alcoholic beverages, transportation. IIANC will provide your conference registration and hotel rooms.

We will depart early on October 29, and will be back to Greenville the 30th

WSIA Extreme Risk Takers Symposium in Atlanta, GA: Fall 2026 (05 Nov 2026)

PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS VERY CAREFULLY!

Join us November 5-6 for a fantastic symposium called "Extreme Risk Takers." We'll be in Atlanta and it promises to be great fun, with a very nice career fair included!! Registration closes September 22.

Your conference registration, hotel room, transportation and meals will all be paid for by WSIA, ECU RMI program, or both. You are responsible for between meal snacks and beverages.
